Winter Months

Sunrise over Little Yangie Bay
Coffin Bay National Park

Yesterday the master left for warmer climes for the winter months. Traveling up to Townsville where he’ll stay for a week or so, then continue on to Cairns, staying there for the duration.
He’s not sure how long he’ll be away, definitely 2 months.

I have decided to catalogue his trip via phone conversations and will present the finished product to him on his return. I think this will be a pleasant surprise for him.

The maid intends to utilize his absence to find beverlyann once more and regain a once positive outlook on life. I am resting up over the weekend with the intention of turning the house upside down next week steam cleaning and using my new ‘you beaut’ vacuum cleaner purchased last Thursday.
Once the house is sorted, I shall venture further afield for some full on camera clicking., weather permitting.

Looking forward to it...nannabee

A NEW DAY

Love tumbling out of bed to a new day. One never knows what is in store as the day goes on.
My walking is becoming a natural habit once again, I look forward to getting out in the fresh morning air. On the one day that I didn't go in the past 2-3 weeks, I almost felt a craving in my mind for it. Certainly a big step forward considering that before I began this new journey, I would lock myself away in my room for days on end - sometimes weeks - in the depths of despair.
I am especially proud of my self this a.m. as my body is reacting to the visit to Big Town on Thursday for vittles etc.
Felt dreadful yesterday with no energy, a terrible headache, fuzzy head, not being able to form thoughts or words correctly and the whole bag of symptoms one experiences following the poking of my snout out of my burrow.
Spent the arvo in bed not even sufacing for meals.
When my WB, (Walkies Buddy), rang last night to let me know she'd be joining me this a.m. (she experienced shin splint problems from our walk the previous a.m and hadn't been able to join me on yesterday's walk), I almost told her that I wouldn't be going, but something stopped me from the utterance. This a.m we covered a good distance in an hour so we are satisfied with our effort.
All of my symptoms are still with me so I don't know what the day will bring. I am a bit suprised the body is detoxing so quickly this time. Usually, these days, I am high as a kite, as though I've been on the hops, talking ninety to the dozen, (I could talk under water with a slice of cake in my mouth),'up in the clouds' for at least 3 days prior to detox setting in.
It stops the bod in it's tracks with me scurrying off to bed for a week or however long it takes. It's interesting...well, to me it is, (and suprising to the master)...that this time detox set in the day after the outing...a first. Used to take at least a month of being away from everything before detox set in but the last three years it has only been three days.
The sea air has certainly helped in a big way.

Master and the Mutts

Master and the Mutts

Captain and Dash

Say hello to our Cavelier King Charles Spaniels, Captain (left) & Dash,(right). Both dogs came into our home on the same day as tiny seven weeks and six week old puppies respectively. Their size was such that they could sit nicely in one of my hands. Though coming from the same kennel, they have different parentage. This month they turned eleven years of age. They have given us years of pleasure. Favourite place in the whole wide world??? Well on dad's lap of course.

Cheers nannabee

Sleepy heads

Des and Captain, (usually Dash as well), in one of their favourite pastimes. As soon as Des' rear hits the lounge chair, inspection of the inside of his eyelids procedes. As soon as there is 'dad's' lap to be had, up jump the mutts.

Dion in Parramatta Lakes NP

Dion took Chris and I to the Parramatta Lake National Park in August 2006 where we three all had a great time clicking away with our cameras. A lovely area I hope to visit again one day.

My Son the photographer

Dion 38yrs, who spent many years in the Infantry, is as mad about photography as is his mother. Married with three children, Dion is a wonderful dad. My heart melts watching him with his youngn's. Photo taken in the Charles Herbert Reserve, Northmead, August 2006 where he took Chris, Ciara and nannabee for a lovely few hours camera clicking and wandering around.

Dion's Young'n Lia

Lia is growing fast. Such a Cute Little button she will be 1 year old 15th August 2007

Dion's Young'ns Ciara Chris Lia 2006

Ciara loves her little sister, Lia whilst Chris is a great big brother to the girls. Photo taken in August 2006

nannabee with Lia

This is the most recent photo of myself taken in August 2006 with our newest little poppet: Lia Elizabeth. As you can see, I am a BBBIIIIGGGG girl. Seem to have lost weight since the pic was taken...can't think where...hair falling out??? I have been heading for the weight loss zone since Jan. 2007, so possibly that has been helping foodwise. No exercise, (walking), yet though as I have a bung ankle which is holding me up in that department.

My Son the Fisherman

One of the salmon caught at Gunyah Beach within Coffin Bay National Park. The boys, (Des and Corey), had a fine time on our first day in the park.

Corey on the reef

Corey 36yrs a Book Binder by trade, loves fishing and camping with his mates. As long as there is water in close vicinity, you'll find a very happy chappy with his rod in his hand.

Photo was taken at Point Avoid which is the Coffin Bay National Park. He and I spent a lovely day fossicking around on the exposed reef. Lots of live marine life to ogle at. A lovely way to end a four day camping/fishing trip within the park.

Welcome

Hello welcome to Bees Bungalow. This is my very first post and am still sorting things out. I have opened this blog to share parts of my life with family and friends. For now, please view my profile to learn a tad more about me. Looking forward to chatting again soon. Have quickly worked out how to insert photos. The view above is of one of the many beaches in the nearby area...5 minutes from our house.

Cheers... nannabee
